The Voluntary Management Committee provides governance of the organisation and management support to the Executive Officer, volunteer and contracted project staff.  Due to the retirement of a number of committee members the management group is now looking for volunteers to fill a number of vacancies.

The GIS is located in Nowra but has a statewide role in the community as an evolving peak body.

In addition to the general governance role of the committee the following specific roles need to be filled:

Vice chairperson  – to support the existing chairperson and chair the committee meetings in the chairperson’s absence. Contributing to the leadership and governance role of the committee.

Secretary  - minute taking at committee meetings. Managing the general correspondence of the management committee.

Membership Secretary –maintaining the memberships records and liaising/corresponding with members and potential new members with regards to memberships issues and renewals.

Ordinary members (3) – contribute to the overall governance of the organisation and support committee activities.
