Mini Bus Driver

LHI Retirement Services Bus Programs helps Residential Care and Village Residents remain connected to their community. LHI is currently seeking drivers to take Residents on shopping, social outings and day trips. Bus driving is a fun and rewarding way to volunteer, and drivers only need a car license to drive LHI's 12 seater mini bus. All driver training and assessments are provided.

Training

Volunteer Induction, Driver Assessment and Lifting Platform training

Time required

2 to 6 hours per fortnight. Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role be a maximum of 15-16 hours per week.

Reimbursement

Fuel and food reimbursements where meet requirements.

Requirements

Driver's Licence (C)
National Police Certificate
Traffic Check

Driver Application Form. Driver Assessment through a specialised driver training school. Please Note: As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance)
