If you are looking for a meaningful way to help those in need this is the volunteer position for you!

Have some fun! Get involved and excited about collecting much needed funds to support the vital role Guide Dogs play! Help change the lives of Tasmanians who are blind or vision impaired, giving them the gift of independence, mobility, safety and quality of life all day, every day.

As a volunteer you will:

Raise funds through the effective collection and placement of collection dogs at host sites throughout Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities:

• To pick up Collection Dogs from host sites and replace with new empty Collection Dogs • To encourage businesses to continue to collect donations • To explain to host sites the process for the regular collection of Fundraising Dogs and provide contact details for subsequent queries or feedback • To be an ambassador and advocate for VisAbility, actively promoting the aims and activities to external (funding) audiences • Ensure that all contacts with consumers, donors, general public and staff are carried out in a professional, courteous manner • Be familiar with and adhere to Occupational, Health and Safety requirements.
