Gungahlin Arts Kids Workshop Assistant
Belconnen Arts CentreAs a kids workshop assistant, you’ll be helping professional artists and tutors present visual art classes to children aged between 2 and 16, witnessing the creative growth of the next generation of artists and helping instil in them an appreciation of their creative abilities.
Duties will include assisting with setup and packup as well as providing individual support to students during class to help them with their creations.
Workshops may be one offs – for example school holidays or community events, or weekly art classes, and we are looking for volunteers for both weekdays and weekends. Volunteering sessions are generally three hours long, and may take place in a variety of locations across the Gungahlin region.
As a Gungahlin Arts volunteer, you’ll be helping us to bring the Gungahlin community to life so that more people can access the arts in all its forms closer to home. Volunteering with us is a great way to make connections with the local arts community and support local artists to bring their creative work to life.
