The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of mecwacare.

Make a positive impact on the lives of our elderly in aged care! mecwacare requires volunteers who would like to connect with our residents through garden maintenance at our Malvern Centre.

Tasks and Responsibilities: You will have a keen interest in gardening along with a desire to support older people to live and age well in the community. This volunteer opportunity will involve watering plants, general garden maintenance of plants within our courtyard and occasional seasonal planting.

Our Residential Facilities offer a range of lifestyle programs, giving older people the opportunity to participate in different types of recreational and social activities. The activities are planned with the participants to ensure their needs and interests are met, and are designed to maintain independence and enhance the quality of life for the participants and its carers.
