Games, puzzle, Scrabble volunteer in aged care home Wahroonga

HammondCare Australia
Logo for HammondCare Australia

As a HammondCare volunteer, you'll be helping people living with dementia enjoy completing jigsaw puzzles. It's an opportunity to sit alongside someone and enjoy the challenge of putting the pieces together. Or perhaps cards, Scrabble and board games are more interesting to you, so come along and prepare to be challenged as you volunteer your time at HammondCare in Wahroonga.

Ideally you'll be available for one hour per week for 12 months or longer. We'd be happy to discuss a suitable day and time with you on either Wednesday or Thursday any time, or Friday morning.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, specialising in dementia. We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of our residents. HammondCare is located at Woonoona Ave, Wahroonga and we provide training and ongoing support for all our volunteers.

Due to Covid19, we have a few additional requirements

  • You must be aged between 18 and 79 years old
  • You'll need to provide proof of your current flu vaccination or be prepared to have the flu vaccination prior to starting
  • Be prepared to wear a face mask while at the aged care home

When you submit your enquiry, please include details on why you're interested in volunteering.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
