The volunteer coordinator will be provided with all relevant and necessary training around the processes associated with the BEFRIENDAS project.

This voluntary role will assist the project manager in the recruitment, building and strengthening of volunteer capacity associated with the BEFRIENDAS research project. It involves sourcing new volunteers through social media, local councils etc,, organising training sessions for volunteers, facilitating new volunteers in connecting with the existing volunteer group and assisting with administration and reporting associated with the volunteer program. The role will be based at the National Ageing Research Institute in Parkville.
The successful applicant will ideally have some experience in a comparable role for example in administration or recruitment. Experience with Microsoft Office is essential. Further, they will have highly developed interpersonal skills and an ability to manage, develop and motivate volunteers; good organizational skills; ability to work effectively with staff and community members with diversity of ethnicity, gender, abilities and skills.
