Videographer Volunteer

• Are you looking to gain experience in videography and project management? • Would you like to be a part of a passionate team of staff and volunteers?

Outline of the role: Cancer Council NSW is a community funded, community focused cancer charity dedicated to working towards a cancer free future. There are things that we can all do every day to help make this happen.

Hours for this position are flexible. Supporting the Metro Sydney Team and based at Woolloomooloo, your key accountabilities will include: • Assisting with and reviewing the project brief for videos • Undertaking the coordination, filming and production of pre-event promotional materials for a successful community event (Dance for Cancer) • Assisting the AV team to film on the night footage at the event • Plan and execute vox pop segments at the gala event • Collate, editing and design promotional highlights videos for event footage • Communicating with staff and supporters to organise and film interviews

Our ideal volunteer will have: • Previous experience in videography and editing • Passion for film and media, with a working knowledge of the production process • Proficiency with your own DSLR camera and any required gear, including accessories such as a tripod or monopod, a slider, glidecam or shoulder rig • Proficiency with video editing software, e.g. Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc. • Sound interpersonal skills • Multi-task oriented with strong organisational skills and attention to detail • A commitment to volunteering and team work • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and work to deadlines • Commitment to the cancer cause and the mission of Cancer Council NSW • Availability to volunteer on some weekends

Desirable (but not essential) • Previous events experience • Previous exposure to the not-for-profit industry • Previous project management experience
