You can be a part of this by volunteering just a few hours per week as a Family Store Truck Driver .

The Goodna Family Store is seeking a mature and responsible person to act as a Truck Driver and assist with large donation pickups from the community.  For insurance purposes, the successful applicant must hold a current and full licence, with a good driving history. The applicant should also be capable of assisting with moving heavy items, and demonstrate maturity and responsibility.

The tasks associated with the Truck Driver role include:

• Pick-up and delivery service
• Quality control of donations
• Sorting Donations
• Assist with repairing a variety of items from furniture restoration to testing electrical items.

Personal Qualities/Attributes Required for the Role/s

• Experience in customer service or retail preferred, but not essential
• Experience in a similar role such as furniture removal advantageous, but not essential
• Punctual and reliable with a friendly and positive disposition
• Able to work in a team and autonomously when required
• A respect and willingness to work within the ethos of The Salvation Army (TSA)
• Experience driving a small truck

Time commitment is one or two shifts per week ongoing, Tuesday and Thursday shifts available. We are looking for someone who can make a minimum commitment of 3 months, renewable at the agreement of both parties.
