Willoughby City Council
Logo for Willoughby City Council

Willoughby City Council runs CoderDojo sessions at Chatswood Library every Tuesday during school term times (3:30pm - 6pm) and we are looking for a volunteer who can assist with the organisation of this popular group.

Our CoderDojo is aimed at 9 - 14 year olds who want to learn about and practise coding, as well as providing an opportunity for young people to make friends and learn problem-solving skills.  As a CoderDojo Coordinator Volunteer, you will assist with planning sessions to engage young people, facilitate the group sessions, support participants and other volunteers, and set up and close each session.

As a CoderDojo volunteer you'll need to have a good knowledge of computer coding (Scratch and Python) as well as experience with Raspberry Pi, Lego EV3, Mindstorm, Makeblock mBlocks and Makey Makey or a willingness to learn these programs. This is an exciting opportunity to source and use new resources to present to the group as well! You'll also need to have great communication skills and able to supervise other volunteers.

This is a great opportunity to get involved in a CoderDojo and make a real difference to the young people involved in this program.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
