Donor and Event Support Volunteer

Outline of the role: Cancer Council NSW is a community funded, community focused cancer charity dedicated to working towards a cancer free future. There are things that we can all do every day to help make this happen.

The Donor & Event Support Unit (DESU) is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic volunteer for the position of Donor & Event Support Volunteer to assist in the smooth day to day running of the DESU team.

Supporting the Donor Support Services Team and based at Woolloomooloo, your key accountabilities will include: • Opening and sorting daily mail • Sorting and packing returned event merchandise • Packing letters to be sent out to supporters • Entering donor details into our database • Filing completed paperwork • Other ad hoc duties as required

Our ideal volunteer will have: • Excellent attention to detail • Proficiency in working with computers • Accurate and consistent data entry skills • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team • A positive, ‘can do’ attitude • Commitment to the cancer cause and the mission of Cancer Council NSW

Desirable (but not essential) • Experience using databases Please note that due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete a National Police Check.
