The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Very Special Kids.

Corporate volunteering with Very Special Kids is an opportunity for organisations to demonstrate their social conscience to its staff and/or community. We have opportunities for groups to be involved with various programs and events. Your support is invaluable! Expressions of interest are now open.

The Details:

The Piggy Bank Appeal raises a lot of funds in the city of Melbourne during the month of September. This presents a great opportunity for corporate volunteer groups to team up, dress in a pig suit if you desire, and collect donations in various locations around the city. It involves meeting in the Bourke St Mall at 10.30am to be briefed and allocated your location for the fundraising. Each volunteer will receive a Very Special Kids t-shirt to wear, name tag and collection unit, plus some key messages to help you raise awareness and funds for Very Special Kids.

Groups of 4 vols will then be allocated to each location to fundraise between 11am and 2pm.  After this time teams are to return to the meeting point to handover the money raised, pig suits and t-shirts borrowed. Your activity will conclude by 2.30pm.
