Once a thing of sci fi novels and Hollywood, robots have become part of everyday life, and they’re only going to keep evolving until world domination… oh wait that’s the plot of a Will Smith film!  Back to reality and the budding engineers at CPL Gladstone are ready to welcome a volunteer with passion and knowledge in robotic technology to mentor their Robotics Programme! Join us as a volunteer Robotics Mentor and Transform your day!

As the volunteer Robotics Mentor you will be:

• Encouraging and engaging clients to participate in programme activities
• Mentoring and assisting clients to build/gain knowledge in robotics and technology
• Mentoring and assisting clients to pursue/develop their passion and skills in science and engineering
• Conducting friendly, professional encounters with clients
• Sharing skills and knowledge of robotics with staff

You will not be responsible for:

• Any personal support; e.g. manual handling, personal care, administration of medication or meal assistance. These activities will be carried out by qualified support workers.

This volunteer role will be on Tuesdays between 9am and 12pm.  The volunteer and CPL will regularly review this volunteer role based on the capacity of the volunteer to assist on an ongoing basis and the needs of CPL.

You will be responsible for organising your transport to and from the location of this CPL role.
