Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania is a not for profit dedicated to providing a 'home away from home' for families with a seriously ill child undergoing specialist paediatric care. We have 4 Ronald McDonald Houses at Hobart, Monash, North Fitzroy and Parkville, all with bedrooms, communal kitchens, dining, living areas, playrooms and outside lounge and play areas. We also operate Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Monash, Northern, Sunshine and Wodonga Hospitals to provide respite for families off the ward, including showers, laundry facilities, nap rooms and kitchens.

About the Role

As the Volunteer Room Attendant, you will be responsible to provide an excellent and consistent level of service to families whilst conducting cleaning duties in the assigned place of work, transforming rooms into a home away from home for our families.

You will support the Housekeeping staff with the day to day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose. This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your Hospitality skills while supporting families of seriously ill children

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Servicing all allocated family room
• Use correct cleaning techniques to clean following OHS regulations
• Check and restock room supplies
• Report lost and damaged items to the House Manager
• Work closely with Front Office staff
• Liaise with families
