Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community Visitor Volunteer – Red Hill
MS PlusMultiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.
We have a 92yr old lady now living in a Red Hill aged care home who would enjoy a male or female volunteer for social support visits. She enjoys conversations about old movies and entertainers, being red to and having a laugh. She would greatly benefit from moral support after recovering from a stroke and limited vision.
You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to at least fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months.
Good English communication skills required however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to the same language are welcome to apply.
