Outline of the role: The role of the Cancer Council Information Service (CCIS) volunteer is to direct cancer patients, carers and their families to appropriate cancer information and services. While not providing counselling or medical advice, as a volunteer you will discuss patients, carers and families’ situation and guide them to relevant information and services. Last financial year Information Service volunteers connected with 32,995 people affected by cancer across NSW. With your support, we hope to be able to help more people.
