About the role

Key duties:

• Data entry (e.g. putting information into online forms or spreadsheets)
• Updating our database (e.g. changing someone's address when they move house)
• Researching information online (e.g. looking for a phone number for a company, or finding a list of all the schools in the Illawarra)

Other duties (if needed):

• Making phone calls 
• Updating documents
• Helping staff (sometimes with low levels of English) navigate paperwork so that they can get and keep a job

Skills and experience needed:

• Good computer skills
• Good attention to detail
• Able to follow instructions and ask questions if you're unsure

About us

Green Connect is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Wollongong, NSW. We create jobs and employment pathways for people experiencing barriers to employment, particularly young people and former refugees, in work that helps the planet. The business sells four things:

• Fair food from our permaculture farm
• Zero waste services
• Second hand good through an op shop
• Staffing, including labour hire and recruitment services to connect staff to other businesses, industries and opportunities

We also provide training and support to enable each person to use their employment experience as a springboard to sustainable and fulfilling jobs and careers.

Last year Green Connect employed 106 former refugees and young people, kept 2,653 tonnes of waste out of landfill, and grew and distributed 20,628 kilograms of local, seasonal, chemical-free food.
