The Blue Care Aged Care Facility in Sunnybank Hills is looking for a mature man to provide individual support & companionship to one of the terrific blokes now living here.

This Volunteer role is about providing companionship through robust & sometimes challenging conversations about current issues, occasionally going out for a coffee & meeting up with one or two of his old mates, attending events in the community and supporting this gentleman in his endeavours in writing a book.

This Volunteer role requires someone who gets along with most people, has patience and understanding, comfortable in communicating with the care team and family of our resident, and the confidence to support this gentleman to participate and achieve satisfaction from his endeavours. Basic computer skills would be a great help but this is not essential. This Volunteer must be reliable and able to commit to regular attendance for at least 6 months.
