Strike Out Stroke®Inc

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Strike Out Stroke®.

Strike Out Stroke® is a not for profit campaign based in Kew which aims to educate the Australian community on the signs and symptoms of stroke. This is being done by volunteers, all with skilled professional backgrounds.  This role is to provide support to the campaign president with designated administrative and assistant tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the campaign president with designated administrative and assistant tasks

  • Diary management, assessing priority and reallocating where necessary

  • Meeting coordination including agenda preparation, presentation materials, documents, reports and minute taking

  • Creating and modifying company templates, letters and other confidential documents

  • Liaise with senior management and stakeholders on behalf of president when directed

  • Assist in researching and following up with action on matters e.g. chasing responses, triggering follow-up action

  • Process correspondence, ensuring that incoming correspondence is dealt with on behalf of the Director, redirecting enquiries as appropriate across the organisation

  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders internally and externally, via a range of mediums across all levels of the organisation

  • Maintain data management and filing

  • Implement appropriate filing and other office procedures for best practice and maintain internal systems

  • General IT support (e.g. troubleshoot) and other ad-hoc administration duties for wider business

  • Attend to personal matters as directed and any other duties as may reasonably be required by the president

  • Act as a proxy for the President where required

    Skills and Experience:

  • Previous exposure to the industry or a marketing team would be a bonus

  • Passionate attitude will also win us over

  • Tech-savvy flair and confidence to take the lead in any office IT issues would be unreal

  • Ability to juggle the multitude of adhoc tasks that consume the daily operations of a not for profit President running a campaign

  • Flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and deadlines are key to your success in this role as well as confidentiality, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
