Canterbury City Community Centre runs a Social Support program that matches volunteers up with people who need this service. It could be for as little as a couple of hours a week or fortnight and could include sitting together when the shopping is finished and enjoying a cuppa together.

Some bright company and a steadying hand around the shops can make all the difference.

Volunteering can be a very rewarding experience and can make a huge difference to the lives of the people they work with.
