Vision Australia is a large national provider of services for people who are blind or have low vision. The volunteer would be required to perform general administration tasks: data entry, filing, photocopying, scanning etc. The volunteer would be trained in how to operate the phone system: answering and transferring calls, taking messages. They would also need to assist in the retail space by helping customers with products and purchases. The volunteer will greet customers and clients who come into the centre and handling their enquiry: appointments, sales or requests for services and processing of sales: EFTPOS and money handling and recording of items purchased

Essential skills: Administrative skills, attention to detail, good written skills and fluent English speaking Vision Australia requires all volunteers to do a police check (no charge) and to either hold or apply for a Working with Children check.
