Port Macquarie’s Koala Hospital is a not-for-profit facility that not only treats sick and injured koalas but is also involved in conservation, education and research into koala diseases and habitat.  Over the last few years scientific research and collaboration with research institutions, government agencies and wildlife organisations has grown, and we have become an authoritative body  in the care and rehabilitation of koalas.

Part of our education role is carried out by our Tour Guides and we are looking for more guides to join our Education Team.

Their role is to  provide information to visitors about the hospital and the koalas that are currently in our permanent care on our daily 3pm guided tour as well as leading individual tours for schools, organisations and tour companies which can occur daily at any time between 8am and 2pm.

If you have experience in education and/or the ability to present information to groups, and have a couple of spare hours a week,  then this might be the perfect volunteer role for you.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
