Sumner House is a 43-bed, low-care facility, providing residential care for older people in an environment that is responsive to the needs of each individual and fosters maximum resident independence and autonomy. The residence offers quality care and friendship in a warm and welcoming environment.

We are currently seeking reliable kitchen hand volunteers to assist between 12-2pm week days. The volunteers will assist with food preparation to include; basic kitchen hand duties, assisting the cook to create nutritional meals for our residents whilst maintaining the kitchen at a standard in line with our food safety program. Volunteers will be provided with lunch at the end of their shift.

The kitchen hand will have a genuine commitment and interest in working with older people and people with disabilities, food handling experience, ability to work well with others and take instructions whilst understanding and commitment to the values and ideals of the Brotherhood of St Laurence.
