Port Macquarie’s Koala Hospital is a not-for-profit facility that not only treats sick and injured koalas but is also involved in conservation, education and research into koala diseases and habitat.  Over the last few years scientific research and collaboration with research institutions, government agencies and wildlife organisations has grown, and we have become an authoritative body  in the care and rehabilitation of koalas.

The kiosk brings in almost a third of the annual funds needed to run the hospital and we are looking for additional customer service/sales people to join the Kiosk team. We are currently looking to fill vacancies on our  Monday morning,  Monday afternoon, Sunday morning and  Sunday afternoon shifts.

However, our shift requirements can change very quickly so if you are keen to join us as a volunteer on any other days please forward your expression of interest highlighting your preferred days.

The key responsibilities of the Kiosk team are :

• Welcoming and engaging with visitors to the Koala Hospital • Promoting merchandise and ultimately making sales • Handling the till operations, balancing the float and takings at the end of the shift • Answering the phone and taking details of potential koala rescues and our bookings • Providing information and answering visitor queries.
