Event Volunteer - 2019 Hawaiian Walk for Women's Cancer

Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research

The Hawaiian Walk for Women's Cancer is run by the Perkins Institute and takes place on Saturday the 4th of May 2019

The walk starts and finished at The University of Western Australia.

Walkers are people who have beaten cancer, going through cancer, family of people with cancer and family of people who have been lost to cancer. Not only are they completing a huge walk, but they are also raising important funds for cancer research.

The walkers complete a 35km or a 42km walk going through many Perth suburbs.

We need event volunteers/helpers in the following role:

  • Corner Directional Marshals: helping walkers to go in the correct direction on the course and cheering them on to make sure they make it to the end. This role is best done with a friend, so you have twice the cheering capacity.

Times of volunteer roles will vary depending on location and role

Volunteers need to like helping people, have a happy personality and a great cheering voice. Be able to get to their location on time and be able to stay in that location for the whole shift time.

You will be briefed on your role and given a volunteer shirt, hat, water and food for your hard work. No experience required.

Tell your friends and sign up together for this important event today.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
