Paws for A Purpose (PFAP) are a new national social enterprise charity organisation with the mission of helping people and pets in need. We achieve our mission through research and development, and embracing technology, community and entrepreneurship to implement innovative solutions. The charity funds its work through a variety of avenues including the sale of products with 100% of profits coming back to the organisation and its projects.

This is a virtual position based within Australia.

We are seeking a volunteer to lead a new project that will establish the ‘gaps’ that are preventing or hindering Elderly people from having meaningful or ongoing relationships with pets. To facilitate this initial research project, the Project Leader will first assemble a team to jointly put together a research plan, then execute the plan - likely involving interviewing elderly people across Australia, and also identifying and interviewing stakeholders for their opinion on 'gaps' in this area and also current 'solutions' in place. Once the research is completed, a report will be drafted for the PFAP board and solutions that PFAP could implement will be presented for board consideration.

This role will suit a volunteer with leadership and project management experience, self-drive, a passion for pets and people, an ability to problem-solve, and a desire to change the world for the better. They will also need 6-8+ hours per week available and will be an ongoing position. You will likely have team members Australia-wide and communicate via video-conferencing.
