POSITION DESCRIPTION Oxfam Trailwalker is Australia’s original 100km team challenge! Each year more than 2,000 teams take part across Australia, with the support of more than 2,500 volunteers and 6,000 support crew members, raising more than $6 million.   The Oxfam Trailwalker Volunteers team is seeking an enthusiastic and personable volunteer to support the Melbourne based part of the team in day-to-day activities.

This role will focus on researching and prospecting future volunteer engagement possibilities  as well as a variety of administration support jobs. Such as calling volunteers, upkeep of the national inbox, and assistance with day to day admin.

KEY TASKS

  • Researching state applicable community groups and allied health professionals for possible engagement.
  • Monitoring the state inboxes
  • Using applicable software to keep track of volunteers Contacting volunteers in regards to their expression of interest, their registration or shifts.
  • Monitoring the Oxfam Trailwalker Volunteers Facebook page and assisting in the development posts.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLs, ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

  • Confident and friendly telephone manner (essential)
  • Confident working with computers (essential)
  • Oxfam Trailwalker experience as a volunteer or participant (desirable)
  • Commitment to the role and to Oxfam Australia’s values (essential)
