Administration/Group Connection Support for Telephone Program
Vision AustraliaRole Content: This volunteer role supports the Vision Australia workforce to deliver quality services for people who are blind or have low vision. This work contributes to providing clients with a range of services and opportunities that enrich their lives and support them in achieving their goals. A key outcome is for clients to have increased opportunities to participate fully in every part of life they choose. The program is also supported by volunteer Telelink Facilitators who facilitate the Telephone Program for clients of Vision Australia to enable clients to participate in discussion groups about topics of their interest via phone.
Key Duties:
• Support team when Volunteer Connectors are NOT available throughout the year for the Telephone Program
• Connect the nominated telephone groups as per the daily schedule or as advised by Staff
• General administrational tasks including documentation and provision of accurate reporting on participant attendances to Staff
• Document and email Staff any messages, follow up or requests from either the Volunteer Facilitators or the participants of the Telelink groups
• As required, inform Staff of any matters relating to the Telelink program (technical, Volunteer or Client related)

Monday 9:30am-4pm

• General Volunteer Induction (Volunteer Essentials training)
• Role specific training, for example: Conferlink Audio Teleconference Self Host Instruction
