Want to make a difference? Area Coordinators are in the perfect position to implement improvements to the Tasmanian Trail whether they be better a route, or new or improved facilities. Generally they live in the area and have a superior repore with the community and an excellent knowledge of the Trail. They are also likely to meet users of the Trail and discover what they believe would improve the trail experience.

An Area Coordinator would assist users of the Trail and deal with any matter that is brought to their notice. This may require arranging working bees to replace Trail markers and signs or to repair damage caused by flood, bushfires or otherwise. A high level of initiative is desirable.

The Area Coordinator will generally represent the Association in the regional area by liaising with land owners that provide their land for the Trail as well as with local councils and government instrumentalities on matters of mutual interest.
