The You Yangs Regional Park is an important conservation and recreation area, attracting over 200,000 visitors per year. Supporting a rich variety of plant species from tall gums to native ground covers, the You Yangs is also home to thirty orchid species, including the endangered Brittle Greenhood Orchid. Unfortunately, today, large areas of native vegetation are being choked out by the South African native, Boneseed. Capable of out-competing and smothering our native vegetation, Boneseed poses a massive threat to the biodiversity of the You Yangs Regional Park.
