Emergent Theatre is a new collaborative space, running from April to October, where everything and I do mean EVERYTHING is FREE. You will have access to workshops run by industry professionals, theatre spaces, technicians, marketing and entry into the Midsumma Festival, 2020 if you choose to showcase your performance piece. You can come with a pre-developed performace piece or you can develop your own original work of art over the 6 month workshop process. There are no guidelines about what kind of performance you produce, it can be anything from dance, to drama, to burlesque to circus and everything in between. There are only 2 requirments to be apart of Emergent Theatre: Participants age range is between 17-25 and there has to be a connection to the City of Kingston, i.e. work, live, study, play.
