About Us: Ronald McDonald House North Queensland (RMHNQ) has provided accommodation for over 3000 families of seriously ill and injured children since 2004. Being the fourth largest house in Australia, we proudly represent a growing population in the North and support a number of different families from all backgrounds; from the Outback to the Cape and some overseas families.

We take pride in our House being a Happy House. All guests, staff and volunteers embrace the special gifts and experience of each other and we are all focused on enabling our children to live healthier, happier lives. Though, without the many talents of our amazing Volunteers - our House will not be the amazing place it is.

The Role: The purpose of this dynamic and fundamentally critical role is to actively search and write grants for RMHCNA relating to fundraising within RMHNA to ensure we are able to continuously support and provide a comfortable, cheerful refuge for the families and children who required our services.

The Position: ·         Scope new grant opportunities ·         Write grant applications ·         Assist in acquittal process ·         Compile wish lists Identify areas in need of funding within the Chapter

The Person: • A friendly, nurturing, trustworthy, patient, compassionate, tolerant, reliable and vigilant character • Open and accepting of diversity; able to demonstrate empathy • Emotionally stable and resilient to potential high pressure scenarios • Customer orientated, outgoing, confident and proactive • Team player whilst able to work autonomously • Good communicator, able to engage with a wide range of people • Committed to understanding and contributing to the RMHNA/RMHC Mission and Vision • Able to adhere to policies and procedures • Able to maintain strict confidentiality • Be able to seek guidance when required
