We need Assistant Regional Representatives for our Regional Teams!
In this role, you will assist your Regional Representative to manage a team of fundraising volunteers. You will volunteer for six to twelve hours per month, including some weekends and evenings.
About the role of Assistant Regional Representative As an Assistant Regional Representative, you will help the Regional Representative to manage a team of passionate, committed Fundraising and Events Volunteers. This includes planning and coordinating events, organising fundraising at market stalls, managing and ordering merchandise, and helping with communications and promotions.
As Assistant Regional Representative, you may be asked to stand in for the Regional Representative if they are away or busy with another fundraiser. You will receive training, support and guidance to develop your skills. This is an exciting role where you can spread your wings while raising funds that go directly to Sumatra and Borneo to save orangutans.
About you You're passionate about the environment, especially about protecting and saving orangutans and other species from extinction. You are good with people and like getting out and about in your local community. You have time and energy, and you want to make a difference.
You may feel you don't have all the skills required in the role, but you're willing to learn and be mentored by the Regional Representative. You may be interested in event coordination or environmental science, and you're keen to learn new skills such as communications, banking and team management. This role is a great step in your career and will give you skills and experience to help you achieve your goals.
Alternatively, you may have experience in some of the responsibilities of this role, and you're looking for a new opportunity. You want to use your skills and experience to help out with a great cause. You know you can offer support to the Regional Representative, and you're happy to be part of a team of Fundraising and Events Volunteers.
