BETTER EARTH VOLUNTEERS – AGNES BANKS

Liverpool Volunteer Resource Centre
Logo for Liverpool Volunteer Resource Centre

A Conservation Organisation is looking to welcome people who have a love of the outdoors and an interest in the environment, to get involved in a Volunteer capacity. Their Volunteers include students, professionals and retirees, in fact almost anybody can get involved. You don't need any prior skills or experience, just a reasonable level of health and fitness and a passion for a better, greener environment.

One of Western Sydney’s newest Nature Reserves, Bartolo, is an important ‘Green Corridor’ for native wildlife like Eastern Grey Kangaroos. Bartolo Nature Reserve is also a remnant of the critically endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland and is home to several threatened native species. We need your help to help us tackle the invasive weeds that are currently threatening the biodiversity of this valuable wildlife wonderland.

This project runs from 9am-2.30pm on the following selected dates:

  • Wednesday 7th August 2019
  • Tuesday 13th August 2019
  • Wednesday 14th August 2019
  • Thursday 15th August 2019
  • Friday 16th August 2019
  • Monday 19th August 2019
  • Tuesday 20th August 2019
  • Thursday 22nd August 2019

Return complimentary transport is available from Penrith Railway Station, departing at 8.30am and returning at 2.45pm approx.

Join with locals and our experienced ecologist for a few hours of practical conservation and contribute to the restoration of Bartolo Nature Reserve. You’ll be rewarded with a cuppa under the tree top canopy and a guided tour of this very special site!

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
