YOUR NEW FAMILY: Orange Sky Australia is a not-for-profit organisation providing free mobile laundry and shower services to people experiencing homelessness. Through a network of 24+ vans and 1200+ amazing volunteers, our services are now positively connecting communities all around Australia.

We are currently looking for an applicant for the Assistant Service Managers 2IC in our Melbourne service who can help us continue to change the lives of our friends on the street every day!

ABOUT THE ROLES: The person selected for this role will work alongside the Service Manager to ensure the service runs smoothly and all volunteers have the tools and resources they need to help our friends on the street. You might assist the service by:

Assistant Service Manager - 2IC to Service Manager

• Manage four shifts in terms of Risk Assessments and site plans. Ensure there are teams of volunteers to operate and that shift cancellation is reduced.
• Support, guide and mentor four team leaders for those shifts.
• Incident Management of green and amber incidents for all shifts. Follow up and incident sharing. 
• Fill in as a team leader liaison person when volunteers required
• Support Service Manager with volunteer training, recruitment and leadership support. 
• Join regular shift or at least visit 1-2 shifts per month
• Attend an online monthly meeting with other Assistant Service Managers
• Step in as Service Manager as required

Requirements: We are looking for candidates who have up to 5-10 hours per week to commit to Orange Sky. To be successful, you will be smart with technology, great with people and have a genuine passion to help others. The role is perfect for those wanting to inspire and lead.
