The Enfield Unit is currently looking for new members to become part of their operational support crew.

As an Enfield Unit Support Crew Volunteer, you would be involved in the following activities:

  • Provide a range of basic operational support to community based events such as the Bay – to – Birdwood, Christmas Pageants and much more.

  • Provide a range of basic operational support to the community during extreme weather events, including helping others utilise sandbagging stations and handing out safety information (e.g. during Heatwaves).

Becoming a volunteer for the Enfield Unit Support Crew is easy, flexible and fits anyone who has always wanted to volunteer but lives a busy lifestyle. An Enfield Unit Support Crew Volunteer would need to commit to the following:

  • Attend one induction evening in January 2020
  • Attend only one training evening every 6 weeks for the length of your commitment
  • Support a minimum of two events each year

You will be provided all the training and resources (e.g. uniform and/or personal protective equipment) required to successfully volunteer. A current First Aid Certificate is preferred, however the Enfield Unit will assist you in obtaining this if you don’t already have it.

The Enfield Unit is an inclusive team and values all skill levels and diversity, including but not limited to, age, gender, culture and ability. There is no limitation on disability and no limitations on how close you have to live to the unit. If you have access to your own transport and are happy to travel to the unit at your own cost then you can volunteer as an Enfield Unit Support Crew member.

All SASES needs from you is your time, passion and dedication. So if you have the motivation then SES can help you see yourself in orange and live the volunteer experience in a flexible way!
