Sumner House offers quality care and friendship in a warm and welcoming environment. The house provides 43 beds all which have individual bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, televisions, phone connection and internet providing residents with independence and autonomy.

We are currently seeking a reliable and empathetic individual with a genuine commitment and interest in working with older people to be a driver of residents at Sumner House.

The purpose of this Volunteer position is to assist with transport of residents of Sumner House to and from activities at our centre. This will involve assisting the residents into and from the bus as well as helping the lifestyle coordinator loading and unloading wheelchairs.

The driver will hold a current Victorian drivers licence and have the ability to pass a driver’s assessment test and be comfortable to work well with others and take instruction.

The Brotherhood’s work is supported by the efforts of volunteers who wish to help people build a better life for themselvesanr, their families and their community. Without volunteer contribution, the crucial work of the Brotherhood would not be possible. Be the difference and apply today.
