The Stand Up, Step Out (SUSO) service currently provides a mobile shower and laundry service at Wynnum, Capalaba, Zillmere and Redcliffe. SUSO supports those experiencing homelessness by providing shower and laundry facilities, as well as connection services that helps to instill dignity whilst also breaking the cycle of homelessness.

The primary purpose of this role is to collect and drive the vehicle from its stabling point at Strathpine to pre-determined locations within the service region where the volunteer will ensure the vehicle is parked safely and legally, allowing suitable access to service users. The volunteer will also be responsible for overseeing the technical operation of the vehicle services, i.e. heating, showering and laundry, as well as managing the filling of water tanks and draining of grey water.

Volunteers must possess a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Medium Rigid (MR) Queensland driver’s licence.
