The Cockburn Seniors Centre provides recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses for people aged 50 and over.

They are currently looking for volunteer drivers for their 9 seater mini bus to pick up/drop off members from their homes to the Centre, outings and other driving as required.

Specific tasks:  Monitor and manage the working condition and cleanliness of the bus including spot cleaning and reporting faults  Provide home pickup and drop-off for members as directed by program bookings assistant and program bookings officer  Provide physical support to members within the range of personal capacity, including entering and exiting the vehicle safely  Follow road rules when driving and ensure members are following road rules when travelling in vehicle (eg. wearing seatbelt)  Fill vehicles with fuel and (add blue if required) at depot as required  Follow appropriate Occupational Health and Safety practice at all times, including advising Senior Centre Coordinator or staff member immediately of any incidents/accidents. Volunteer driver with support from staff to complete necessary paperwork on the same day  Complete odometer log books every time the van or bus is driven  Complete daily checklist if you are the first person to drive the bus for that day report any anomalies to the Senior Centre Coordinator or Staff member  * Comply with the Job Safety Analysis – Spotter to be used when reversing vehicles and plant
