Our Social Inclusion team is looking for a volunteer to spend some time with a lady and take her out to the community for a coffee or walk. Do you have a positive attitude to life and love seeing other people better their lives? Do you enjoy learning and really listening to what other have to say? Are you looking for a volunteer role that will enrich your life as well as other peoples? Do you have a couple of hours available each week? Are you in a position to dedicate 6 months to build up relations and skills to make a meaningful difference to the lives of older people and people with a disability in our community?

Have you answered YES to all of these?

Parramatta City Council is currently looking for more people to join their acclaimed Social Inclusion Volunteer team.

Volunteers are matched to older people and people with a disability in the local community. Volunteers make weekly visits to the person’s home or accompany them to an activity of a common interest. The aim of the program is to partner with people to build stronger community connections, have opportunities to maintain interests and independent skills, and continually explore ways to better their lives.

We are looking for a volunteer who would enjoy visiting a lady and taking her for a coffee or walk . You will need to have a full drivers licence and own comprehensively insured car. (Travel reimbursements paid).

Our team of 110 volunteers is vital to our work. Volunteers are supported with training, travel reimbursements, and ongoing supervision & support. There are opportunities to mix with other volunteers throughout the year and be a part of a valued team.
