The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is promoting this role on behalf of Salvation Army Camberwell.

Do you have experience in fundraising and researching potential new sources of funding, grants, or other financial assistance? We're seeking a volunteer to identify and assist with Fundraising initiatives.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Research potential new sources of funding, grants, or other financial assistance, for a specific set of services being offered at the Salvation Army, Camberwell, (including but not restricted to such services as Meals Program, Pronunciation classes, cooking classes).
• With assistance from a staff member, write or contribute to the writing of funding applications

Skills and Experience:

• Report writing skills
• Fundraising experience for not for profit organisations or community groups
• Marketing experience
• Ability to show initiative and generate ideas
• Ability to work with a team of part time professionals and volunteer staff
