The Anzac Day Parade Brisbane (ADPB) are seeking volunteers to assist in the organisation of the annual Anzac Day Parade in Brisbane CBD. Although the delivery emphasis is on 25th April each year, volunteers are also required to ensure this project is managed in the event runup. Volunteers can be focused on the event day challenge itself or ongoing engagement with the ADPB, stakeholder agencies and support bodies occurring from January to April in the planning and implementation cycle.

Specific roles to be filled on a recurring basis include; Parade Route Marshals & Assistant Route Marshals, Information Booth Attendants and Veteran Liaison Hosts, 10-15 Golf Buggy Drivers. Without volunteers in these positions there would not be a fully functioning event to meet the standards set within the Major Events in Queensland guidelines issued by the State Government and provide an captivating event for the spectators, both live and over the ABC network.

After submitting an expression of interest throughout the year volunteers are invited to attend an individual brief in New Farm with the Chief Marshal. Following this roles are allocated and the Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact. A volunteer newsletter is published every other month and Group briefings take place in March/April each year. Buggy familiarisation is open invitation to all volunteers and held at Yatala in April.

Applications cannot be accepted after 31st January for the subsequent Parade.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
