Do you have experience in marketing and communications, and are you looking for a way to give back to the community by volunteering with a not-for-profit organisation? An exciting opportunity has just opened with Sydney Basket Brigade – a non-profit, non-religious, non-political charity who work with grassroot organisations to anonymously deliver food, clothing, toys and hope to those in Sydney who have fallen on hard times or may need to be reminded that someone cares about them at Christmas.

Sydney Basket Brigade is growing and we are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as our Basket Buddies Coordinator. The Basket Buddies program encourages individuals, families and schools to add a few extra (specific) items to their grocery shop each week, for 10 weeks, to collect enough goodies to fill a basket for someone in need. We had a great response from our community to this program, and this year we need an awesome coordinator to help us inspire more people get involved, to help it evolve and grow.

Responsibilities: • Identify how we can get more Basket Buddies signed up. • Work in collaboration with the Sydney Basket Brigade committee to drive support for the campaign through our various partnership channels. • Together with our Social Media Coordinator, manage an engaging campaign through our social media channels - Facebook and Instagram accounts. • Manage all enquiries and communications in the inbox from Basket Buddies who may have queries. • Attend committee meetings and calls.
