Goolwa Primary School is recruiting for volunteers to become a part of the school reading army. This dedicated group of volunteers attend school 1 or 2 mornings a week to sit with up to 5 children who may have some learning/reading difficulties and benefit enormously from having one on one sessions outside of the classroom with friendly, patient volunteers. Volunteers will need to be reliable as the children look forward to these out of classroom activities. Volunteer will liaise with coordinator and class teacher and work with the structured environment of reading, recording and assisting in class where instructed.
