BETTER EARTH VOLUNTEERS - GRANVILLE

Liverpool Volunteer Resource Centre
Logo for Liverpool Volunteer Resource Centre

A Conservation Organisation is looking to welcome people who have a love of the outdoors and an interest in the environment, to get involved in a Volunteer capacity. Their Volunteers include students, professionals and retirees, in fact almost anybody can get involved. You don't need any prior skills or experience, just a reasonable level of health and fitness and a passion for a better, greener environment.

As a Volunteer you will have the opportunity to work towards the enhancement and protection of the critically endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland. It has been cleared for agriculture, industry and housing and the banks of Prospect Creek, which runs through it, has been filled with many noxious plants. With the help of many Volunteers it is slowly but surely being returned to its former glory, along with the restoration of its valuable wildlife habitat.

Activities you will be doing include weed identification and removal, planting native trees and shrubs, habitat improvement and monitoring water quality. This project runs from 9am-2.30pm every second Wednesday (commencing 20th Feb 2019), with return complimentary transport available from Granville Railway Station, departing at 8.30am and returning at 3pm approximately.

If you would like to participate in a project that protects and enhances our environment and heritage, we would love to hear from you!

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
