North & West Melbourne News is a community newspaper that has enjoyed over 40 years of continuous publication. The newspaper is wholly produced by volunteers, and we need your help to expand and keep the paper growing.

The following positions are currently available for volunteers with a good grasp of English, an eye for detail or would like to help with distributing newspapers to the local community on a quarterly basis.

Writers Illustrators Photographers Cartoonists Web designers Distributors

The role is flexible around your commitments and involves:

-Editing stories to word limits and to meet the N&WM News style guide. -Proofreading to correct spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors -Assisting in selecting articles from the online edition for publication in the print edition -Getting to know your community through newspaper deliveries

Volunteering at the N&WM News is a great way to gain experience and be involved in your community.
