We currently require a volunteer to assist at Willoughby Day Centre on Wednesdays 10am - 3 pm. Willoughby Day Centre provides a home-like atmosphere, running daily programs to provide socializing opportunities and activities for elderly people who are living with mild dementia. Volunteers assist staff in setting up and encouraging clients to participate in activities and gentle exercises. Volunteers provide valuable one on one attention to clients via chatting, reminiscing, discussing current events etc... Flexible hours enable you to fit this volunteering around school crop off/pick up times and to take holidays, study leave etc. Volunteers gain a great deal of satisfaction in helping others and being part of a caring dynamic team.
