We currently require volunteers to assist at Willoughby Day Centre on Fridays between 9.30am - 2.30pm. In the Day Centre setting, volunteers chat, reminisce, encourage and do activities with the clients and also support the staff in setting up morning tea and lunch. Occasionally we take the group on a bus outing to a scenic location e.g. beach, lookout, bush setting. Volunteers provide a valuable extra pair of eyes and hands on outings to assist staff and interact with clients Flexible hours enable you to fit this volunteering into school hours and to take school holidays off. You are welcome to volunteer for part of the day if this suits you best. Volunteers gain a great deal of satisfaction in helping others, brightening somebody’s day and being able to be there for someone in need.
