Parramatta City Council is currently looking for more people to join their acclaimed Social Inclusion Volunteer team.
Volunteers are matched to older people and people with a disability in the local community. Volunteers make weekly visits to the person’s home or accompany them to an activity of a common interest. The aim of the program is to partner with people to build stronger community connections, have opportunities to maintain interests and independent skills, and continually explore ways to better their lives.
We are looking for a volunteer who can speak Vietnamese (as well as English) who would enjoy visiting a lady and taking her on short outings once a week. You will need to have a full drivers licence and own comprehensively insured car. (Travel reimbursements paid).
Our team of 66 Volunteers are vital to our work. Volunteers are supported with training, travel reimbursements, and ongoing supervision & support. There are opportunities to mix with other volunteers throughout the year and be a part of a valued team.
