We are seeking people who are patient and keen to assist our learners from CALD backgrounds to acquire basic computers skills. Class is held on Fridays 9:30am -1:00pm

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Jesuit Community College provides real skills for life, learning and work. With a range of practical, vocational courses we help our learners prepare for the world of work and further study.

Be Connected is an introductory course on how to use computers or laptops and improve the digital skills for everyday use.

OUTLINE OF VOLUNTEER'S SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS

• Confident in using computers
• Friendly
• Patient in dealing with beginners
• High level of confidentiality
• Ability to work with a range of people from diverse backgrounds

CONFIRMED VOLUNTEERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

• Have understanding and sympathy with the mission and ethos of Jesuit Social Services
• Comply with relevant legislation including Jesuit Social Services policies and procedure
• Have valid Working with Children Check
• Successful interview, referee check, and Police Check conducted by Jesuit Social Services ( at no cost for volunteers)
