Visiting Volunteer - WA (South West Region)

What you'll be doing
You'll be thoughtfully matched with an older person living at home or in an aged care facility. Your role is to provide friendly visits, share conversation, and engage in simple activities like enjoying a cup of tea, reminiscing over memories, playing cards, or taking part in hobbies together. You'll also record your visits appropriately, respect confidentiality, and maintain professional boundaries.
Why this matters
This role directly impacts older Australians who may be experiencing loneliness and isolation. By building social connection and companionship, you'll help improve their overall wellbeing and give them a stronger sense of inclusion and community.
The best bit?
The most rewarding part is knowing that your time and presence will brighten someone's day - often becoming the highlight of their week. You'll gain meaningful relationships, new experiences, and the satisfaction of supporting one of Australia's most trusted humanitarian organisations.
About you
You are warm, friendly, and have strong conversational skills. You can relate to and empathise with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences. You are respectful, reliable, and committed to building consistent connections with older people.
